luffy I love you but why didn't you think of using the environment against him. Hitting him with a brick would have saved your hands at the very least. So projectile attacks. Might be ineffective but fire hurts magelan just as badly as it hurts you. If you had actually thought, you actually some chance

Also if Luffy just used his damn brain and didnt waste his energy on using gear 2 twice he could have used Gear 2 + Gear 3 just for 10 - 15 seconds this should give him enough time to land a one shot blow while hitting him into the flames yes it will take a toll but since it was for a short amount of time he should still be able to move and get to Ace its better than dying, bruh im just tired of Luffy getting saved by plot armor the majority of the time when there was an actual way for him to win, to me it seems like he knows his not gonna die because his not fighting like he is.

seeing how luffy struggled against his recent opponents despite having second and third gear made me think that his first enemies such as arlong and crocodile, were nothing more than weak a$s bonks now whereas these villains used to me make me feel fear because of how strong they are back then.
